Simple Cell Phone Repair Guide

Simple Cell Phone Repair Guide
*SCREENS

Varying degrees of damage can exist on a cell phone’s screen, from a minor fracture to what looks like a puncture wound. A lot of people can live with a small divot or crack on their device’s screen without it affecting them. Let’s be honest, repairs aren’t always cheap and parts are expensive. Bigger issues are not so easy to live with. Glass gradually chipping away will expose sensitive regions on the phone, components beneath the glass can break, and a broken touchscreen can render a smartphone completely useless.

Solutions
Cell phone screens include the glass, digitizer, lights and a lot of other small components. On some touchscreen devices, the factory fuses all of these parts together because it means that they can manufacture the phones faster. Instead of just replacing the glass, you now need to replace the entire screen assembly, which includes correctly attaching it to the phone’s motherboard. Proper knowledge of your particular device and how it was manufactured is key to performing the correct screen repairs. The majority of repairs (for broken screens and other problems) require opening your device, so we have included some tips for that at the end of this guide. Before beginning, turn off the cell phone!

Replacing the Glass & amp; Other Components

If the glass covering your mobile device’s screen broke, and it is not fused to the screen assembly, you may be in some luck. Cheap replacement glass is available online, as well as video tutorials for many different models. Likely, you will need to use a suction to pull the glass from the screen. Use care when reapplying the glass so it looks flawless. Lights and digitizers beneath the glass can be more troublesome to repair or replace. Lights can be soldered or screwed to other pieces, including the motherboard; while digitizers are often wired to the device’s computer. Once again, use care, being especially careful not to damage other parts of the phone.

Fused Touchscreens
How the touchscreen is attached to the device is up to manufacturer. Likely, you will need a suction device or a small screwdriver to remove the screen assembly. The digitizer will be linked to the cell phone’s computer with a flex cable. Take careful note of how the touchscreen is positioned in the device before you proceed with extraction.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting is the process of figuring out how to solve a computer problem. Even with the most updated software and hardware, occasionally computers can malfunction.

In order to solve a problem, you must figure out which part of the system is malfunctioning. You will need to check each component of the computer, unless it is obvious where the problem is coming from. Isolating the problem will help you solve the problem quickly. Knowing how to solve these problems with a shortcut perhaps using only a few keys on the keyboard can save time and effort.

Backing up your important computer files to another source will ensure that if your problem cannot be corrected, you will still have a safe copy of your information.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

  •  Close open programs and windows you are not currently using
  •  Make sure all of your cords are connected properly.
  • Try to repeat the sequence of commands you performed before the problem occurred. See if this causes the same response by your computer.
  • Press the F1 key to access the Help window. You can search for a solution to your problem once the Help window appears.
  •  If there is an error message, record the full message for future reference.
  • Restart your computer to see if it clears the problem. To restart your computer, open the start window and select the Restart button instead of the Log Off button.
  •  If restarting the computer does not clear the problem, shut down the computer and then start it back up again.
  • If the issue is still not resolved, check the common technology issues on this site

Wifi Hacking with PC 002

Welcome back. We continue from where we stopped previously... I believe you must have downloaded the required tools. Lets move on. If you have not downloaded the tools, download Now! http://www.tamos.com/download/main/ca.php  and a http://www.aircrack-ng.org/

The Testing Process:

STEP 1

1. Install CommView for Wi-Fi. It doesn’t matter whether you install it in VoIP mode or Standard mode. I used VoIP.
It automatically installs the necessary drivers. Allow it to install.
NOTE: You will not be able to connect to any Network using Wi-Fi when using CommView.

STEP 2

2. Click on the PLAY ICON in the Left First.

STEP 3
(Choosing the Network (a))  A new window should pop up now.

Click on Start Scanning

STEP 4 (Choosing the Network (b) )
Click on the Wi-Fi network you want to hack in the Right Column and Click on CAPTURE
NOTE: This tutorial is only for WEP protected networks.

STEP 5 (Capturing the Packets)
The windows should close now and you should see that CommView has started Capturing Packets.

STEP 6 (Saving the Packets)
Now that the Packets are getting captured you need to save them.
Click on Settings->Options->Memory Usage
Change Maximum Packets in buffer to 20000

Click on the LOGGING Tab.
Check AUTO-SAVING
In the Maximum Directory Size: 2000
Average Log File Size: 20

Now CommView will automatically Start Saving packets in the .nap format at a size of 20MB each in the specified directory.

STEP 7 (Concatenating the Logs)
Since you are capturing a lot of logs you will need to concatenate them into once file.
To do this go to Logging and click on CONCATENATE LOGS
Choose all the files that have been saved in your specified folder and concatenate them.
Now you will have one .ncf file.

STEP 8 (Converting .ncf to .cap)
Now that you have one file with all the packets you need to convert it into .cap file for AIRCRACK to crack.
Click on File->Log Viewer->Load Commview Logs-> Choose the .ncf file
Now File->Export->Wire shark/TCP dump format.

Aircrack
Now that we have captured the ivs and stored it in a cap file. We are going to crack it using aircrack.
We will use the GUI version of aircrack.
Extract the Aircrack zip file you downloaded.

Go to the bin and open Aircrack Ng Gui.exe.

STEP 2
Choose the .cap file you got through CommView for Wi-Fi

STEP 3:
Click on Launch!
You will get this screen in cmd

Choose the target network .Ex: 1 if test or 2 if harkonen and hit Enter

 STEP 4
Just wait while aircrack is cracking the password.

STEP 5

Aircrack has successfully found the password
Now Connect to the Wi-Fi network using the key.

WIFI HACKING with PC 001

Many Windows users here are struggling to hack Wi-Fi networks because most of the tutorials are based on Backtrack and other Linux Tools. As you know, there are so many ways to hack or bypass a WIFI PASSWORD but I’m just sharing the method to Crack Wi-Fi networks using WEP security protocol.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

1. Commview for Wi-Fi:

Commview for Wi-Fi is a powerful wireless network monitor and analyzer for 802.11 a/b/g/n networks. Loaded with many user-friendly features, CommView for Wi-Fi combines performance and flexibility with an ease of use unmatched in the industry.
CommView for Wi-Fi captures every packet on the air to display important information such as the list of access points and stations, per-node and per-channel statistics, signal strength, a list of packets and network connections, protocol distribution charts, etc. By providing this information, CommView for Wi-Fi can help you view and examine packets, pinpoint network problems, and troubleshoot software and hardware.
You will use this tool for capturing the packets sent and received through the Access Point you are going to test  .The more packets you capture the better chances of cracking the password .You will need more than 1,00,000 minimum packets to crack the password .The packets will be captured in the .ncp format . You will use this tool to convert the .ncp to .cap.
NOTE: Some Wi-Fi cards are supported by Commview only in Windows 7 so i suggest you install Windows 7 in your Virtual Machine if your Wi-Fi card isn’t supported.
Download Link: http://www.tamos.com/download/main/ca.php

2. Aircrack-Ng GUI:
Aircrack-ng is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that can recover keys once enough data packets have been captured. It implements the standard FMS attack along with some optimizations like KoreK attacks, as well as the all-new PTW attack, thus making the attack much faster compared to other WEP cracking tools.
You will use this tool to crack the password of the Access Point using the .cap files you obtained from the Commview application.
 Download Link: http://www.aircrack-ng.org/

NOTE:
1. You need to run this as administrator.
2. Your Antivirus Might Detect it as a virus. It is a false positive.

So go on and get the tools and I'll post a step by step guide on how to successfully hack a WIFI with the above mentioned tools... stay connected for more! and drop your comments
 thanks
